Spartacus is now eating normal amounts. Still no blink reflex in his right eye. But the inner lid works very well in keeping the eye moist. He is getting used to his new lack of balance. We think it is Bell's Palsy. Since a Neurosurgeon we know says you don't usually lose the blink reflex in strokes, but it is common with Bell's Palsy.

He can move his upper eyelid and his ear a bit now. His jaw is still slack, which for a Mastiff is a complete disaster! We keep towels in strategic places throughout the house to catch the long strings of "dog slime" before they get slung places!

We need to find a marketable use for dog slime, we would get rich!!
