I am in rough shape but I have to tell you I promise I am not going to sit and eat all this myself :) ..I would like to but ..I will work hard at self control

everything came together for me to make these tarts and I just wanted to share my variations of apple and pumpkin pies

very Pacific NW I think in flavors right down to the apple smoked bacon on the apple pie :)

tart apple pear with fresh thyme, fresh walnuts, maple syrup and yes that is bacon on top :)

blue hubbard squash/pumpkin butter tart in a lemon ginger crust

serving with strong home roasted coffee lots of cream :)

sigh the "diet starts tomorrow":lol:

anyone else do any baking this weekend ..show and tell?

wow. You have been very busy I see. That looks so good. I think my favorite would be the Hubbard tart.

Wow !! :drool :drool HiDelight those look like nice goodies!! It looks like you did a great job making them.
I especially like that hubbard squash/pumpkin tart sounds interesting. I myself made a Apple Pie this past weekend. I tried something a little different, usually when you make an apple pie you take the sliced, peeled, and cored apples with the sugar, cinnamon etc mixed and add it to the pie shell. What i did was I cooked the apples with the mix of sugar, cinnamon etc. in a pan until the majority of all the moisture from the apples escaped, this way you wont have a too runny of a pie if you bake it the usual way. It turns out also that you'll get more flavor too by cooking the apples in a pan then the other way.
