I lost the remainder of my squashes and cucumbers to icky little bugs that looked like stink bugs. My pumpkin is looking pretty sad too. It's probably too late this year, but who uses DE to defend their vines? And how do you use it? It's been so wet this year that I'm wondering if it would have done any good just scattered around on the ground. Maybe dusted up under the leaves would've helped?
As a side point - I let the weeds and grass get completely out of hand around them and I'm SURE that having such great cover was much appreciated by the bugs.
