Hello all!
This is where I will TRY to journal all my (mis)adventures in my garden from the planning stage to the harvest and putting it to bed.
This year was my first year back in gardening, I planted some in ground mainly rootstock like beets, radishes, ect. I also planted zucchini, pumpkin, cantaloupe, corn.
I did try something new this year with my peppers and tomatoes in laundry baskets with fabric blocking the openings, I would say that it was a partial success.
The garden itself was 10 ft x 10 ft.

Now my plans are grand for next year! 40 ft long x 30 ft wide, I am going to use wooden pallets as fencing. I will have multiple raised beds inside the fencing, and one of those beds will have a tomato arbor system made from 4x4s and 2x4s along with heavy twine.
Outside the garden on a slope next to it I am going to plant the pumpkins, they did great this year but took over the entire garden.

For between the beds I am going to lay down cardboard and then lay a bunch of wood chips on it. The spacing between beds will be wide enough to fit a wheelbarrow and cart.

So that's what has been bouncing around my bean for a few weeks.

Pics are from the first garden I ever had at the property and the starte of it the last time I attempted to garden.
