@so lucky mentioned making aprons so I thought I would share the aprons I have been making. Maybe you have seen them, they've been around a little while, but it's a neat recycle project if you have some old mens shirts hanging around that you don't know what to do with. (And fabric is getting SO expensive!) These are thrift store finds that cost me $2 - $3.
It takes a large (or larger) men's shirt. You could use smaller sizes for kids aprons.
The back of the shirt is used for the ties and the binding for the edges where you cut the shirt.
Cut the ends of the sleeves off and you have pockets, short sleeves work as well.
