I bought some tattler lids earlier this year. They work well and I've been happy with them so far. I haven't used them for everything. I only bought wide mouth ones to fit my quart jars. Next year I will probably get some to use on my pint jars as well. I also miss that "ping" when the metal lids seal, but it's fairly easy to tell when the tattler lids have sealed properly.

That's pretty neat. I'm all about anything that can be reused. Have to look into some of these next year.

We bought some in the spring also. So far so good. Wide mouth and regulars seems to work well.

Kerr tried that idea out sometime in the 40s except theirs were kind of dome shaped and clear glass. They only put them out for a few years. I guess the public wasn't ready to accept them. I used to have a few of them but could never find the rubber gaskets for them.
