This summer has been brutal. It was too hot and dry for too long. I neglected the flowerbeds as pulling weeds was nearly impossible, they just broke off at hard baked ground level. the beds got very little water as we wanted to use it for the vegtables. After we finally got rain I went out and tackled the weeds. I had no idea how much was lost until the weeds where gone. :hit

This bed is usually full of deadnettle, hosta and ajuga. Hosta looks well done, too. The gate in upper right is supposed to have sweet peas on it. *sigh* Maybe next summer.

thistle that is so sweet. :hugs I will P.M. my address. I do have a few clumps of deadnettle that made it, I can divide those. And my Dad is digging out most of his flowers so I do have a few things to get it restarted. It might be nice to have more variety next spring. :clap
