I doubt it tingles his tippy toes, but getting a bill for having the sprinkler system restarted after the winter is a sure sign no one is expecting a return to freezing temps for any prolonged time. It is one of the less pleasing yet certain signs of spring.

It usually (at least it should ) include a visual inspection to make sure all the sprinkler heads are operating. So it's not actually some guy just walking up and turning a faucet handle.

Red hit nail on head, system can only be turned on if no heavy frosts in future.

I have faith in Nyboy that he can do that. Then if there's a problem he can't fix he can call someone.It usually (at least it should ) include a visual inspection to make sure all the sprinkler heads are operating. So it's not actually some guy just walking up and turning a faucet handle.

I have to get water on more of the garden and I don't wanna.
Tilling in dry soil is like stirring up a mini-dustdevil. I can proceed right along with the tynes in forward but it's not going very deep. Serious tilling (says on tiller "heavy") is with the tines turning in reverse.
Okay, it's slow and the machine drifts with every little depression or hill. If the soil is wet - the wheels really don't gain good traction. Push ... Straighten ... Push!
A third of the garden - no rototiller, spading fork. But, with 7,000 sqft for the tiller, I'd like to till just before planting. Then turn the water on ...

Wanted to finish adding soil to raised bed so could plant apple trees from last year. rained all day !!!!!!
