This started because I thought my peas were just so pretty that I had to get the camera out. :D

They took forever to grow this year but have really taken off in the last week or so. And I had forgotten that some of the pods were going to be purple/blue. :p

This will (hopefully!) grow into a Purple Smudge Heirloom Tomato:

Some sort of Green Leaf Lettuce...it came up by itself so who knows!

Cilantro...it also came up by itself and is already starting to go to seed again:

Those hooded peas look awesome! But are you sure the last one is cilantro? It looks more like dill.

Beautiful pictures kathychix :clap

The basil looks like the Greek variety to me.

I also think your Cilantro is actually Dill.

I love the Purple podded peas -- do they go green when cooked. The ones I grew did ! But the colour makes them really easy to see them when you are picking.

Happy Gardening!

Thanks everyone!

I'll double check on that cilantro again today. :) The "broader" cilantro looking leaves are more at the base of the plant, it is starting to get tall and send up these "tips" where the coriander seeds will form (I think!). Like I said, I'll look again.

The basil plant is tiny...I keep waitng for it to grow...think it needs to be a bit warmer and it will take off. It is from a free pack of seeds I got from somewhere...I think it's called "Balcony Basil Blend".

The purple peas will be allowed to grow and I'll shell them when they are bigger. I expect the peas themselves to be green. :D

We are supposed to get up to 2 inches of rain here again today. :/

Regards,

Kathy

My cilantro would look like that when it went to seed, the broader leaves were at the base and these dill looking leaves would shoot way up.

Beautiful, beautiful! :clap

I eagerly looking forward to more photos! I can't get enough of everyone's photos of their gardens! It is like looking through Home and Garden without having to spend $$$! I get so many ideas from the photos, thanks! It also reminds me to take more photos of my meager progress in my garden. (When I learn how to load them onto Frankenstein, (my Computer) I will also share..)
