Generally, these have been my experiences.

Here is a more a detailed winter squash chart. I feel better seeing how limited delicata squash is! Despite my appreciation for the type, just couldn't make good use of it.

What are your storage conditions?

I often don't grow winter squash, the squash bugs greatly limit me. Either the vines don't last long enough to produce squash at all or don't last long enough to mature the ones they do make. But occasionally I try and sometimes even do pretty well.

When I get lucky I store them on a trailer parked in a shed with an expanded metal bed out of the sun to cure. I leave them there until I use them, which has to be before freezing weather.
