Howdy,

My basil literally won't grow! I put it outside a little bit early, and the stem became pretty woody. When it warmed up, it still wasn't growing well so I thought I'd cut it back to promote more growth. Since then, it's dropped its two big leaves and is replacing it with super tiny leaves. Any ideas on whats going on, or how I can save it? Temperatures are around 80-90 F during the day, and no lower than 65 F at night. It gets full sun and I water it regularly.

I'd continue taking care of it. It's sending out new suckers that will become the new growth. When I harvest mine I cut the stems back almost to the ground, just leaving a few buds. I think you will be fine.

I’m just nervous because I cut it back several weeks ago
