Due to lack of rain and / or Japanese beetle this years pears are tiny.
Here I am holding five pears.

Same pears on a desert plate with a nickel for size comparison.

All 2 bites!

we had a bunch like that given to us last year and i ate some of them and determined it was too much work to make something out of them. i recall a friend talking about juicing them to make jellies but i'm not into jelly making here... the worms got a nice feast out of it. :) i do like green pears and ripe ones too...

hope you have a fun/good day @Carol Dee :) time to get out a pick away...

Carol my pear trees where stripped of fruit at country house. I do have pear tree at work which has some pears waiting for them to rippen. Did you know pears need to finish rippening off the tree ?

I grew up among the pear orchards of southern Oregon.

All this talk of pears makes me hungry ..

. for pear butter!
