No mosquitos here! It will be 2 degrees for the highs later this week. Plenty of snow and ice out there. Although we have plenty of BIG flies in the house!

with the warmer weather they like to move around from their hiding places that they found in the previous warm spells and the fall. once it stays cold enough there aren't as many flies or other bugs coming out. we've had more box elder bugs and squash bugs than anything else, a few of the stink bugs and the lady bugs. all told though this is now much less than we used to have since i found out where to caulk around some heating vents in the floor they were using as a way to get in. i wish i had done that many years ago since some years i'd had to vaccuum thousands of lady bugs off the windows inside. what a stinky mess that was.
