Weaving a tapestry.

My wife and I managed to visit this museum on the Normandy Coast. The story of William, hiring Normans to go fight Anglo Saxons in the UK if I have my wars right. 300 feet of sewing by hand to make a what looks like a really wide scarf that covers 3 walls of the building containing it.

During a trip to the UK we saw some amazing tapestries, I can't remember where different ones were. We never made a trip to see the Bayeux Tapestries, those are among the most famous. Those things took a lot of years to make, tapestry weaving is a very slow process. No moving parts to the looms involved, all detailed hand work. And extremely expensive.

What Steve is referring to is that my wife is a weaver. Not a professional, just for fun. I'll show a few of what she has done, some her designs, some from established designs.
