I'm glad you will have access to community gardens! I think you'll do just fine (in all respects). Just stay persistent and have healthy outlets for stress (can you say gardening . . . ah, well most years anyway). ;)

Haven't tried it, but if you happen to see some old windows of whatever sort lying by teh side of the road as you drive along itmight be worth stopping for them :)

LOL. When I buy chicken feed, I can just fit 200 lbs in the back and one in the passenger seat. I doubt a window would fit. I bought a sheet of plexi glass once and it didn't fit in the car. My mom said it's a good thing I got a little car because else I'd be brining home tons of junk from craigslist. haha

As for outlet of stress, got a tank of guppies and have two cages set up for hammies!

Oh silkiechicken I'm sorry.

I'm in Oregon and my garden is looking pretty pathetic this year.

I bet you'll find a way to have a garden while you're in school though. (or after a year like this one you may want an extended vacation from it.) Community gardens may be great for you. The ones near us are beautiful.

Best of luck to you in your studies too!
