What is this???

They are really pretty purple flowers like butterfly bushes, but out of all the butterfly bushes, I have never seen these leaves, they don't smell much, and they bloom around this time of year.

My oma has no clue what they are and she has four of these.. They are about 4'.

It looks like a member of the sage family, either blue or purple sage. It tolerates a lot of heat and doesn't need much water. Some bees and butterflies will visit it but it isn't a favorite of theirs.

Yep, looks like salvia, aka sage, to me. Butterfly and good bug magnet.

I was just looking at "sagewort" today. It isn't sagewort (that's a wild Artemisia) but this is a great big family.

I can't really tell from the picture but you may well be able to find your plant under "order Lamiales" - as has been suggested by the gardeners ↑.
