I'm going to put this here because it's not a plant... LOL

I found this on one of our apple trees today. It's a silver grey color... but I have NO idea what it is. I did peel it off of one of the branches, but can (hopefully) put it back on there if it's something helpful

I don't have a clue. Sure looks like eggs. Little eggs.

If no one else can help (and I do have some faith in this community. Some are real good) you might try sending a picture to your county extension agent or see if your state land grant university can identify it. UNC State, I believe.

It is some sort of egg sack type thing. It was wrapped around a branch in the apple tree.

What I would do is put the object in a closed jar with holes punched in the lid. See what comes out in a couple months. I never seen anything like that LOL
