Spinosad may be worth trying. If the worm is inside of the fruit, it won't help. If eggs are being laid on the surface of the fruit - maybe it will work but I suspect that it won't kill eggs.

It's the organic insecticide the WA State Cooperative Extension most often suggests for fruit. (About a 30 page pdf file - link)

Spinosad won't last long but can be applied several times and may be able to stop the adults from laying eggs.

I don't have fruit trees @Artichoke Lover, but a gardener that I like and whose books I've read is really knowledgeable about all manner of fruiting trees, bushes and vines. He seems to know all the tricks as he is growing fruit in a challenging climate, and for many decades. His name is Bob Flowerdew, I believe his website has a lot of articles about different topics, you might find something in there about your plums.
