I just loved how this looked.........tried to ignore all the damage to my trees during this ice storm and find all the pretty things around my yard :D

That is beautiful! i know ice storms bring great damage, but I'm still struck by the beauty of it, especially those first moments when the sun comes out and it's all glistening - nature can be so beautiful! :bouquet

You know when it gets really cold in Florida and the tv news always shows the orange groves covered in ice? Well, for a long time I always wondered how Florida had that many ice storms. Then I learned that the orchard farmers sprayed water over the trees to protect the fruit. Ice serves as a bit of insulation from cold, drying winds. Duh.

I hope your yard didn't suffer from tree limb damage, BTW.

Here is a few more.not as pretty,in the one,you USED to be able to see my house. We have substantial tree damage,made me sick to see, for now I am focusing on the beauty of the ice :D
