Winterizing

Does anyone have any good ideas for winterizing plants out in the yard? i normally just throw a blanket over my plants or put a trash can or something over them. of course i bring a houseful inside too. we are expecting our first freeze either sunday or tuesday.

Well first beefy you'd have to move somewhere that HAS winter, as opposed to "sometimes a frost" <vbg>

I'm always jealous of those southern folks who can grow pretty much all year. The only thing left out there is some kale. And the mums & pansies on my porch.
