OK, only 1 final step after this. These were in the dehydrator about 22 hours and I think they are dry enough for the final stage - grinding into powder. My 4 yr old walked into the spare room where I had these going and runs out hollering to my 9 yr old "Jordan, the spare room smells like STEAK!"

Oh most definitely. I'll be outside with a tailwind so I don't get overcome by the fumes....

And this particular hatch is all hot. Next batch will be smoked green chile then frozen for furture hamburgers
