1.0 Mil Red Plastic for Tomatoes

I do use the red tomato mulch on my Earth Boxes, but not with the tomatoes out in the raised beds. I often get 2 growing seasons out of it. As for production or size, some years the Earth Boxes do better and some years the beds do better. I have yet to figure out why. I have to use something with the Earth Boxes because of the set up. Without the red mulch they would dry out.

Every farmer or backyard gardener goes through what you are describing. Crops change year to year because of yearly fluctuations in climate, rainfall etc.

Yep. That is why I never really worried about it. Just always happy to harvest what I can.
