So is that family housing? When I was in grad school we lived in family housing and they had a whole field were we could purchase garden plots. After all the years of use that was the most fertile soil I have ever farmed in

No, I live in one of the developments near the edge of town. It's a small town here, so the commute is just 3 miles. Family housing does still have plots for rent though. It may be cheap, but it is also really noisy as one of my co workers who lives there tells me. Did you go to OSU?

No I went to UCSB for undergrad and MSU (montana-bozeman) for grad. Gardened at both and loved it. I loved family housing though. I was so nice to have families all around with kids running everywhere. It sure was a social hub. Now that we have graduated and live in a SFH it is definately boring and the neigbors just don't have that same comrodery sense that there was in family housing.
