Bougainvillea is it worth it?

They must stay indoors for the winter.

I have kept mine in a pot for 25 years, have never even repotted it. It never fails to give me great color several times a year. I put it out in the summer, cut it back, and keep it indoors all winter.

Was at HD last night, they had Bougainvilleas in some cool colors. The vines where very small about 1 foot. I know in the south they get very big. I am in zone 5 with no place to over winter one. How fast do they grow, is it worth growing as a annual? Thanks

It is simple for winter make it indoor and after that in the summer time keep it outside that will be giving you the best results as well as i think. Here you need to accommodate as per the atmospheric changes happens.
