Our daughter, son in law and grand daughter went to his brother's for Thanksgiving. His brother's daughter is getting married the day after Thanksgiving, so lots of people and confusion. They went Tuesday because my son in law has to cook the dinner. Since we are on the way, and they have two little dogs, we get to dog sit. There is a black and tan miniature weiner dog, Pedro and a Silky Terrier (that stays shaved so they don't have to fool with long hair) named Pippa. We have three dogs, two of which come in the house.

So this morning I was kicked back in the recliner, drinking my coffee and the two visitors decided I would make a good place to curl up. Our Australian Shepherd Polly is intensely jealous of me, so she jumped in my lap too and got in her favorite spot. Thankfully, Parker, our black Lab/Great Dane mix decided to stay on his blanket.

I am a dog bed.

heh. looks like some nights in my house with my corgi and the 2 cats. last weekend i had brought Chickie in the house so he had to be the spoiled brat rooster and snuggle on me too. if i've told the story about Chickie before i'm sure anyone would understand why he's such a strange Polish rooster and likes to snuggle with me.

Parker gets in my lap too, but he takes up the whole chair, cuts off circulation to my legs, feet go to sleep and tingle....... :gig

Yeah! A happy season story! Sigh! I was expecting doggy damage, doggy distress, or doggone. At least your daughter's holiday isn't going to the dogs.

One of the cats I don't have loves to sleep on the master bed. She has a time limit due to not caring to learn litterbox behaviors, but figures the bed is hers. The rest of the family knows their place. DH in the cushy recliner, me in the wood captain's chair and CeeCee on her pillow bed under the TV or on her cushion in the master bedroom corner. I may have fur balls on the floor, but your clothes are safe on the furniture.

I see Bay gets the cushy recliner. . . .and company.

And this is Paris, our Great Pyrenees. Every evening she sits in front of the glass doors, staring at me until I go outside and talk baby talk, telling her how smart and beautiful she is. I feed her, but she won't eat until I praise her for being such a good dog.
