Gopher snakes - I'm just sick about this

I went up to the garden this a.m. and found 4 dead gophers snakes tangled up in the netting that was covering the blueberries. Now, the crop of bb this year was gonna be small cus of our extreme rain and I forgot to fertilize them this winter.

I can buy a huge container of bb at Costco, but I cannot replace these precious adults. Needless to say, the netting is now gone. I'm just sick about these deaths.

I have photos but not sure how to post them. I'll be back....

That's so sad, but you can't beat yourself up over it. We learn, make corrections and go on. Hopefully you have many more to take over.

I know how you feel. It seems that snakes are getting rare around here and we have an abundance of moles and mice in the fields. That's so sad.
