We are having an early spring.... I guess they could be lilies... The dead flower stalks didn't have leaves on them - they were just long, straight stalks.

how long were the stalks? i think that rules out the crocus or hyacinth.

They may be snow drops. One of the earliest bulbs-they can bloom with some snow on the ground.

Ohhhh fun, unidentified flowers! I was thinking hyacinth, too. We want to see them in bloom.
