It's finally starting to feel real!

WOW!! OLD thread here.
I have learned since then that the squash vine borer season is over end of July in my growing zone and latitude.
Therefore start ALL squash so that it blooms early August and you only need worry about squash bugs, far less of a problem.

we'd not have a long enough season if i waited until the end of July to plant squash.

this year the critters are eating some of the squash so perhaps we'll be eating what i have left in the freezer this coming year.
