OK! I have my first ripe tomato! It is a "Heatwave" tomato. Suppose to do well here in our desert heat.

Whatever you do, don't move to zone 4!! I'll be seeing tomatoes like like at the end of July!!! Just lovely. Tell us how it tastes!

No kidding lesa!

LOL

Even with my early start and my wall-o-waters, it is going to take a awhile. It would really help if it stopped SNOWING!

I have one plant out of a row of 20 that has 2 tomatoes on it about the size of a golf ball or a little smaller. That 'mater look just delicious. More pics when you slice it and we'll all turn green with envy.

Wow, that looks fabulous, congrats! I haven't even put my baby tomatoes in the ground yet . . . should have, a couple weeks ago, but this dank, cold, wet, humid, SNOWY stuff showed up and hasn't gone away (well, it's in the process of leaving right now, but still) yet.

So, my young plants are sitting under the grow light in the basement impatiently waiting to get out there! Nobody's root bound *yet* but I think it will be a very close call.

Supposedly it will be good tomato weather in a few days and for a while after that, I hope to have them in (and all the rest of the warm weather stuff) a week from now.

I am grateful you posted, rebbetzin, that picture reminds me why I'm doing all this work!
