Right now my back yard is being horse mowed. Can't mow with tractor because of septic lines. Can't put mule in backyard because she and Paris our Great Pyrenees don't like each other. So Joe and Sparkles get the treat. DH mowed front yard with tractor. He wants a riding lawnmower real bad. WHAT?? Do you not RIDE the tractor? Do you not RIDE the horse??

Whaddya think? Will poor long suffering DH win or lose on this one?

BWA HA HA HA!!!

So where is the mule? In the long run, a mower makes sense.

Will he win? Depends upon who wants to listen to the whining.....him-because you keep reminding him about having to buy mower or you because he keeps reminding you he's using hours on tractor when he could be putting those hours n a much less expensive machine...... :frow Your call it sounds like.

That was the first major purchase we made when we bought our house. Even 1 acre takes too long to push mow. We have a little cart that hooks up to it, so the mower can haul things too.

Unless maybe your lines are really deep, we were told not to have large animals on our leach field either, so might want to be careful with that. Maybe sheep would be cheaper than a mower? ;)

Y'all are right, he will get his riding mower. He wants the zero turn mower. There are quite a few manufacturers, so we'll have to study on them. I'd better get busy on building lean to's off each side of the portable building so it will have a caring, loving home. LOL

zt mowers are great as long as you have a flat lawn to mow... the bigger<wider> the turf tires the better that way you do not make ruts<compact the soil> if you mow the same direction every time..
buy a new one might be able to get a service agreement included for the first couple years..
