Another group of Junior Poop Maker’s, learning the ropes!

We’ve had some freezing/near freezing nights lately but that should be about over. The hardening is going well and i intend to start setting out Broccoli, Kale and Chard in the next day or so!

Today Kale, Broccoli, Chard and some flowers went into beds. We had visible frost last bight but it appears to be behind us now and the things im setting out will take a little frost.
Im drowning in the Greenhouse! Until the 6ea-25gal pots go out it’s becoming a struggle. Looks kinda cool though and i’ll get it sorted out next week.
Each morning i pick the boy squash flowers and use them on the new girl flowers. Today i had an entire bouquet even after the pollinators!
Outside Cherry’s and Apples are budding and look fine. This time of year is just a wait and see thing; it can turn off cold and drippy while flowering’s taking place But i don’t remember a year with no fruit so it must work after a fashion?

The very last patch of snow and the very first Asparagus. A new one for me “3lb. Can”, and these are just in their 2nd year. The remainder of the bed are 3-4 years old and will be along directly.

@Alasgun you have truly mastered the art of gardening in Alaskan conditions. You have some challenges for sure between the last patch of snow melting mid-May (!) , the daylight hour situation, having to start things so early. You're eating green beans in May! But your plants are gorgeous, and your greenhouse is just bursting with verdant growth. It is a sight to see, great stuff. 👍

Now that i can see in the greenhouse a little vine dressing was productive. Getting to the end of start nursery too! Marigolds, Choc Mint, Zinnia’s and Lettuce Are all im moving in and out now.

Ive never had much “in season time” for pot cleaning. Typically it’s a mid winter thing however; things are going pretty well this spring So i set up on this last batch and gave them all a shower.
