Looks nice and tidy, too. :thumbsup

I used to pile all of my manure and compost in an out of the way, inconspicuous place. But I'm like you, what's the point in moving it twice? I'm trying to round up enough free pallets to make a 3-bay compost pile right beside the garden. And as for the truckloads of manure, I've started just designating a corner of the garden to dump it on each year, let it break down, then rake it over when it's ready.

I love having the compost pile right near the garden. Lots less walking that way!

Much better! My compost pile is out of the way- a perfect spot, for spring, summer and fall. Then, there is the long walk through 2 feet of snow in the winter! Definitely should have put it much closer to the house!! You might remember I had celery growing out of my compost bucket this year (which was located on the kitchen counter....) What is in that adorable, tiny raised bed?
