rose cutting

Hi I came over from BYC. Hope to learn as much here as I have on BYC.
I am from Centerville Texas about 1/2 way between Houston and Dallas. Not sure what zone that is.
I was wanting to do some rose starts from my mother's roses, (She pasted away a few years ago), to share with family and friends. When is the best time to do this? I've done it in the past just didn't know when the best time of year is do this.

IIRC the best time is when they're blooming or just finishing blooming. There was another thread on this topic here that has link(s) to a good website(s) with instructions, I believe? Look at the older topics under 'roses and flowers'.
