I have several sunflower seed heads, the only thing that did well this year. How to I save them? I want to keep them to give to the chickens this winter as a whole head.
I just cut them and let them dry on a shelf in the carriage house, sometimes I hang them upsdie down by the stem but either way they dry out just fine.
