If you are on a dead-end road, the first and most important thing is probably to find out whether one of the people that owns the property on the corner with the crossroad will let you put up a honkin' big sign there. (Also find out what zoning regs say about that sort of thing).

Roadside sales, both stands and u-pick, depend a whole lot on "drive by" business, so it will be pretty close to essential to be able to have at least a SIGN that drivers-by can see and hopefully get interested in.
