I am not sure I want to do the foodsaver bags. I have over 1000 jars. I am not talking of warming the jars, just dehydrating the food in the dehydrator and putting in canning jars with the lid and ring on, but not sealing them. I am looking into if there is any reason to use the foodsaver sealer attachment for jars and if I did use the foodsaver attachment, is it really safe. I figure it is safe, but 10% moisture from the LDS site, has some people worried and my friends who want to buy a dehydrator want to know how long it will last. I have several friends wanting to take frozen food out of freezers and dehydrating, but not if it will not last at least 2-3 years and I am that way too about my freezer stuff.

Had so many cherry tomatoes last year, that I dropped them in the blemder and liquefied them. Poured it out on the solid sheets in the dehydrator and it made tomato flakes. I added the flakes to soups and stews. It was good!

I saw this in a video. I have so many in the freezer. I needed to get the solid liners. I should have ordered those too.

@Gardening with Rabbits I ordered one for every shelf in the dehydrator. I asked questions, they offered 3 different types, 2 were Teflon, one was silicone. I got the silicone and I really like them. I used pureed pears mixed with Welch's frozen grape juice to make fruit roll ups.

Thank you! I will get the silicone too.

Some of those silicone liners came with mine. When I need more, I make some out of parchment paper but I'll admit I've considered getting some more silicone ones. They come in handy when I dehydrate something like blueberries or cut and de-seeded tomatoes that stick to the basic shelf. Wax paper should work too.
