So it got warm here and we got ice dams on our roof ruining some interior ceilings and walls. Never happened before. I have to look at my insurance policy. I fear I may have a $10,000 deductible. I hope I am remembering wrong and that is my flood insurance.

Oh Dear. Hope the insurance covers repairs. So frustrating after all the cold and snow to have this happen.

Oh, Cat- sorry to hear that...I fear lots and lots of people will have the same problem. Many houses have a foot or more of ice on the roof. Not going to be good. Flooding is sure to follow, when all this mess starts melting. I guess we have to be careful what we wish for. Good luck!

uh, oh. I've had to worry about this sort of thing only a couple of times. There is a roof rake in the garage that has seen very little use. Fortunately, this is a "proto-rancher" and not a bungalow, with their wide roofs.
