Bougainvillea flowering, again.

Well, it is starting to develop thorns on the new growth. Still, I guess I will keep it in a safe corner of the greenhouse, just because it is so interesting.

I love those beautiful bracts! Yours shows a far more perfect flower than mine ever seemed to have, but like the poinsettia it fades beside the colorful leaves.

There are some with three perfect flowers. Beginner's luck I guess. After the way I pruned it I am surprised it came back at all.:\

At this point I am beginning to wonder if it will ever stop flowering. It seems to like the out of the way spot I put it in in the greenhouse, so I am going to let it fight it out with the cucumbers and see who wins.

Jackb, mine never stops flowering but then I'm not in New York. ;) All this week it's been 62° and I'm freezing!

Mary
Thanks Mary, that is good to know, as, I know absolutely nothing about them. Perhaps I'll try to clone one, but I don't know what I will do with it, as I am running out of space.

Grew them for years in the SF Bay Area. They are profuse bloomers, except for the coral colored ones - they were a bit less.

Unfortunately frost would kill them off every few years and I had to start over. Thorns? YES!!!
