Hummmmmm and yummmmmmm! I may have to add eggplant to my garden plans. That does look good. Any chance it is good for me -- like zero calories with or without ice cream?

Now, I have Ping Tung eggplant again this year. Never once have I looked at their developing fruit and thought, "Hey! I could make an eggplant crisp!"

To show how hopelessly unimaginative I am, I have never looked at my Apple Green eggplant and had that thought either .

What I have thought with the Apple Green is that I have a very early variety with the "proper" shaped slices, just like a later Italian bell :). (Actually, the eggplants all seem to be in a rush to mature fruit and will all ripen something of some shape and color, any day now.)
