Summer project #2

Bummer. I am really interested in seeing your pics too, as I daydream of having a cellar and love to get ideas from others. The image URLs look like something was uploaded and it looks like @Carol Dee was able to see them at first. Maybe @Support can help?

OK, let's try this. If you can see these thumbnails, click on them. I think!?

I can't see pics on this stupid phone anyway. Notifications says I have 7 updates, but when I try to update, I get another notification that phone is outdated and I need to update it. I REALLY NEED THAT ANGRY SMILEY HERE!!!

I love the idea of using the old cisterns for a root cellar. Your house sounds like it has a lot of character.

Oh, I see the pics now. I am so jealous of you getting a cellar. You have a lot of room down there. Maybe you should use part of it for a storm shelter. Or let me come and store my veggies at your place?
By the way, is there a story behind the "Playstation Farm" name? The only playstation I know of is for video games, and your dad didn't seem to be the type to name his farm after Super Mario.

Always wondered about name also, but I figured someone named smiles would play games. What to do with pile of dirt, invite friends over and play king of the mountain !

I've seen one other older home that had a cistern underneath it. I don't know how common that was back in the day, but I have always wondered how that works out without causing moisture problems in the home? I don't think I'd like the *idea* of all that water under my house either. It would give me bad dreams, I think. LOL

A cistern is such a valuable resource too, having all that free water. Do you have another cistern or are you going to build another, SmilesJr? Or do you have a well, perhaps? That will make a perfect cellar though, also a very valuable resource for a self-reliant person. Can't wait to see the finished remodel.
