I am going into my 3rd winter with my citrus trees. Past 2 winters I used grow lights when they came inside. This winter going to see if enough natural light for them. What is the longest you had a houseplant?

I have a houseplant that I bought in 1995. It is an arrow leaf plant ( Syngonium podophyllum ). I even accidentally froze it back in 2009.

Same complete total plant.. or cuttings???
My Mom had a Christmas cactus for as long as I can remember. After she passed it came to live with me. It didn't like the new house and has died back to just a shadow if it's former glory. BUT, I started several pieces of it when I thought it was dying completely and now have a small pot thriving. The original pot was at least 30yrs old. It's still 'living' but looks pitiful. It's re-incarnated self is hopefully going to go on for many, many years.

Cat I have always wanted bougainvillea!! They are SOOO beautiful! But around here they are expensive and I'm HARD on houseplants...

I had a monstera (big split leaf philo) that a friend grew from seed. It was in a 3" pot when she gave it to me about 6 years ago. It got so big---huge leaves about 16" across---I had no room for it. Before frost this fall, I put it, and a big rubber tree I received as a funeral tribute, out by the road with a big FREE sign. Took about 15 minutes for someone to stop for them.
I guess I am not very sentimental....:\

Mine is the same plant. Still in the same plastic pot I bought it in.

A Neanthe Bella palm for about 8yrs.
