My first figs are beginning to form, and the olive trees are prolific.

I just noticed today that there are tiny figs forming on the fig trees. If so, figs are much much easier to grow than olives in a greenhouse. That said, this will be my first bumper crop of olives; the tree below is a Koroneiki, one of many with lots of tiny olives.

Jackb, what kind of figs do you have? Rats chewed on the tips of my fig tree and ate the tiny buds. :( I'm hoping I may still get a few later on.

Hi Mary,

I have two brown turkey, and one each of: White Marseilles, Black Mission and Violet De Bordeaux. By the way Mary, the yellow powder you see on the olive leaves is pollen. I hope your hand pollinating was a success.

That's really great!

But, aren't those those infamous Terrorist Olive trees that the FBI and Secret Service, and James Bond, and a bunch of commandos had to confiscate enroute in the postal service?

Hi Marshall!
You are referring to the infamous Tirilye from our friendly ally Turkey. Now, do you really think I would have one of those? ;)
