That looks good Major. :)
We do grilled cheese with onions also.

Another favorite along those lines is our deluxe quesadillas. We do a Mexican blend of cheese, sliced avocados, thinly sliced tomatoes, thin sliced onions that are grilled on the griddle before I start assembling and a splash of Chalula, oh, and sometimes when we're feeling decadent a spoonful of sour cream. Heated on the griddle until nice and oozy and the tortilla is a little toasty. One of our favorite dinners. We like them on the jumbo corn tortillas.

Boy these sound good, I mainly do the straight grilled cheese and ketchup method. We used to get this seasoning of herbs at a meat packing supply place that we sprinkled on the bread before throwing it in the pan. It made the grilled cheese sandwich incredibly tasty, the store we bought it from is still around but they discontinued that seasoning about 15 years ago. One of my all time favorites is still grilled cheese and tomato soup. Think we are going to try this recipe for sure though.

yes, crunchy goodness, butter, bread, cheese.

made a burger last summer and put it in grilled cheese sandwich. didn't need anything on it other than a little garlic salt.

this morning, in your honor, i made half a cheese sandwich for breakfast with sliced dill pickles on it. homemade bread, homemade dill pickles, extra sharp cheddar and mayo.
