I already have a lemon doitsu hariwake! Ugh.

Does the water look a little clearer?? Seems a hint less green, but maybe I'm imaging it.

They also love the ugly white panels for hiding. Plants are still tiny, so they needed the safety. Its ugly, I'll have to think of something more pretty...

Officially crystal clear!
White things are dead female toads, I netted them out afterwards. Red rectangle is a brick all the way at bottom, 4.5ft, holding a thermometer so I can know bottom water temp. Have another floating at top for surface temp.

Hate that stupid ES8500 single speed pump!!

Cleaned both out, turned it on and the single speed needs the capacitor replaced for the billionth time!!

Ordering a new variable speed pump now.

Cannot put into words how p*ssed I am.

I should add that UV is now off until new pump arrives. Hope water doesn't green up fast. I'll also have to reduce feedings, since half of my filter is off.



They look small in their new home!

Found pipes to extend one filter's output to reach into the 2nd filter's media. So, at least all the beneficial bacteria won't die.
