our experience is that if you don't plant it in the middle of a puddle it will do ok.

we put it in some areas that do get temporarily floods in slightly raised beds and they have survived pretty well.
Thank you. I need to get more seeds so that I can try again but for now I am just going to start the rest of my seeds.

we found out after we planted it that we both react to the sap.

the many areas of it we have all sprout plenty of seedlings in the limestone mulch around the plants. we always have more starts than we can let grow.

we're now taking out as much of them as we can get to them (we've hired someone to do some of that for us at times). it's not easy to do...

This year I am considering using pots and buckets for my garden. I cannot get my garden set up the way I want to do I'm going to use the easier option for growing. This year might really suck but I am hoping for a good crop.
It will be fun to see what you can grow with pots and buckets!

The feed store has some big totes that had horse feed in it so I will try to get some of those and will look around for what else I can use. I asked my son in law to ask at the store he is working for the cake and frosting buckets. I also have a lot of big planters to use for the garden. I also have some grow bags for the garden.

I grew my garden in those 6 gallon buckets once as I lived in a really windy area. The pots provided some protection from the wind and the plants did really well except my experimental tomato. This particular plant I tried growing inside the house in a super sunny location. It grew to an enormous size and was the deepest dark green, but didn't have one single tomato on it and I even gently shook it to help hand polinate. Oh my gardening adventures!
