It looks from the images on television news that the very southern part of Michigan is being hit hard by the storms. I hope that it is a bit farther afield than the south field in your neighborhood.

@Carol Dee 's neck of the woods seems to be in an especially bad location for what is expected today. That also looks to be true in some other places in the Midwest.

AGAIN! But Long Grove and the greater Quad City area has been spared the worst of it.

there was likely a small tornado not too far from us but i don't think anyone was seriously hurt. damage evaluation on-going. a lot of action from the storms of last night.

Wisconsin got baseball sized hail yesterday AND they have snow melt AND heavy rains. Some streets are under water, according to the video from WeatherNation.

How terrifying to have hail that large! I bet there was a lot of damage!

Since then, light frosts and some blue sky and sunshine.

The 16th's 28⁰f might have been considered a "hard frost." That's -2°C with that narrower band width, it must be that 0 and -1 would be considered light and ...

Up into the 70's for a few days soon –– that's above room temperatures .

in checking out the small tornado damage and possible path it may have been slightly to the north of us and skirted us or may have even been over us but not formed enough. i'm certainly not an expert in reading radar tornado signatures and how they form...

to us it was a little hail, some rain and winds and that was it.

Weather dot com said “northern Michigan.”

I wondered if that meant the Upper Peninsula but didn’t think of it as your neighborhood. It looks like @seedcorn's new home is in the path of severe weather today.
