No buds. Leaves are not fuzzy. Really does not look like an azalea. I have several azalea varieties in my yard and this plant shares no similarities. Thanks for the input.

Okay, three people think this is an azalea. It does not look like any azalea I have seen or have in my yard. If it is an azalea, what kind is it?

Hi, Does not look anything like any azalea that I've seen. Leaves are very different and bark is silvery-gray. Thanks for the input and the greatings from Eastern Wa.

I bought a shrub at an auction that had no id tag. It has smooth gray or silverish, smooth bark. The leaves are dark green, shiny and kind of thick (like a camelia). Some of the leaves are starting to turn bright red. I live in North Carolina. Does anyone know what it is?
