I won't be starting seeds until late February. This year, we are upgrading to LED lights and a new light box that is at waist level (a platform for 6 flats), as opposed to crawling around on the ground, which will be a nice change. DH has it under construction now. I hope the LEDs work well.

A lot of our snow this year has ended with pouring rain, so it's kind of crusty on top. And the driveway is a bumpy, slanted skating rink! More snow is coming Wednesday. I hope it doesn't mix with rain.

It is snowing here now, but supposed to turn to rain. I'm hoping for a quick cross-country ski before the changeover. We had a lot of rain last weekend, which led to great skating yesterday.

I find that some chickens are for production, some are not that productive but you keep them for their beautiful egg color, and some you keep because they are beautiful yard art. (I have too many chickens, of course).
