sorry to hear about your foot. be more careful. here where we are we have some lights rigged up to help see at night . but we still have to be careful and watch out for the snakes.
where i am at ..alabama. we grow our berries in full sun. and we always get a bumper crop. the limbs of the blueberries are so heavy i had to prop them up with sticks this year. also the full sun helps them to ripen.
you don't know how long i have been looking for them,about 3 years now. any color is fine. and yes after the pods ripen is when you harvest the seeds. let me know when you get some seeds from them and i will send a sase.:bow
so far i am using the old hay and no weeds as of yet:fl i have sime chicken litter mixed with grass clippings brewing in a compost pile :idunno will have to wait and see i guess. i am just expermenting trying to see what works best here .
down here they are left outside year round . but up there i would bring them in and store them in a cool place in some peat moss or something like that . i hope you got some of the dark ones.. they are my fav's well all of them are....
