!Garden Gnomes - the new Pink Flamingo!

Nice butt! LOL I'll get out soon to take some pics of my garden kitch pics. I like metal sculptures - bugs, bats, frogs, etc. I do have a pair of cement feet that are a little dark. Looks like a body is buried in the garden.... I like 'em. I have one gnome, but its being carried away by...

    Compost squash. (Pic's)

A compost volunteer! LOL I lost one of my compost piles to wee bee pumpkins this year. I didn't get around to planting any pumpkins, so I've let it run wild. (biggest wee bee vines I've ever seen) I love your pallet idea! Now I just have to get that pick-up so I have some way to haul the...

How to get rid of the VOLE!

Hi all, Thank you for the replies. Not very encouraging. :P I'm gonna get this bugger one way or another. Its in the bed with the biggest, nicest veggies. Driving me bonkers. And my poor beans - leaves attacked by jap beetles, vole taking out the roots, and now by dog is picking what...

How to get rid of the VOLE!

Birds in the garden...good or bad?

I love the birds in my garden! I am sure the nesting robins kept the grasshopper population in check this year. There are many bird varieties around here, but the only ones that give me grief in the garden are my chickens. :P

    What did you pick today?

My garden is in the akward in-between stage. :D Finishing up the peas. Still have lots of lettuce, and a couple blueberries here and there. Other than that I'm patiently waiting for everything else - tomatoes, peppers, beans, eggplant, squash... Grow, grow! :rainbow-sun

Composting large amounts of noxious aggressive weeds

Ur Welcome! Let us know how it works. I'm really slow at incorporating new things so may not even get around to trying it until next year. :dance Happy Weeding!

Composting large amounts of noxious aggressive weeds

You can try covering the entire pile with a black tarp, landscape fabric, etc. I haven't done this myself yet, but have seen it on gardening shows. Seems to work really well. Mix up the pile and make sure it has enough moisture before tarping. Good luck!
